🧩 The Design Tokens Book
[French] The first piece of news I'm excited to share with you in this newsletter, and which is close to my heart, is the release of the book "The Design Tokens Book" written by Ismaïl Hamila & Adrien Gibrat and powered by Frontguys.
This book is aimed at Design System Leads, Product Designers, Front-end Developers, Managers... It will take you through over 200 pages on how to transform your projects using Design Tokens, which enable visual consistency and operational efficiency within an end-to-end Design System.
I was fortunate to contribute to it by sharing my experience with Sabrina Vigil, Design Lead of Decathlon's Design System.
You can get your copy in PDF or EPUB format for free here. Alternatively, it's also available in paperback on Amazon here.
I hope this book, serving as a detailed guide for those looking to understand and implement Design Tokens within their creative and technical processes, will be valuable to you. It's an essential resource for anyone looking to more effectively integrate design and development, marking another step towards a consistent and integrated practice of Design Ops.
🎙️ Finary Talk with Eric Larchevêque
[French] A few days ago, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this interview with Eric Larchevêque as part of a Finary Talk.
You probably know Eric for his role as a judge on the show "Qui veut être mon associé" (the French version of "Shark Tank"), or for the iconic company he co-founded: Ledger.
In this talk, Eric discusses his vision of Bitcoin, its performance, the Bitcoin BlackRock ETF, his forecasts, his opinion on the monetary world, the halving, but also the vulnerabilities of Ledger that he has encountered:
💌 Le Mémo: strategy and tools for businesses
[French] In this edition, I also wanted to highlight a content creator, Baptiste Carpentier Agostini, who has been increasingly publishing rich content and developing his business: Le Mémo, a media offering various services and disseminating a wealth of information, strategies, and tools to help businesses be more productive.
In addition to his comprehensive newsletter, he also has a YouTube channel with a good number of interesting videos. Here's a recent one I selected for you, which presents 8 Chrome extensions that can be useful:
🎙️ My first appearance on a podcast
[French] What a wonderful experience it was to share my passion for productivity through the lens of various failures that have helped me grow.
Thank you so much to Nicolas Guy & Frontguys for giving me the opportunity to speak into your microphone for this second episode:
I highly recommend subscribing to this brand new podcast, "Les chroniques du design," and especially listening to the first episode featuring Romain Dao from The Cacatoès Theory!
🎨 Figma's Framework conference: 3 new features for design systems enthusiasts
Figma announced some exciting updates in their latest conference dedicated to the world of design systems. Here are the three main ones:
Introduction of variable management for typography & gradients.
The production rollout (Beta) of several endpoints on the Figma API related to library analytics.
Code Connect, a feature that directly links the source code of your developer library within Figma, enabling an optimal handoff experience and a concrete showcase of your development library. The code is Open Source here and currently works with React & SwiftUI components.
These updates are nicely summarized in an Instagram Reel.
For those who are interested in learning more, Figma has published an article in English providing a more detailed overview of these updates, along with links to various documentation to start using them right away:
🏐 My interview at Decathlon Digital
If you're interested and want to know more about me, especially my passion for music, what drives me in life, and how I manage to balance all my passions with tech, I had the opportunity to be interviewed by my company, Decathlon Digital, for an article on LinkedIn.
Feel free to check it out here:
🚀 How to make a living from your content and thrive on YouTube, featuring Shubham Sharma
[French] What an amazing testimony from Shubham Sharma during over three hours of discussion with THEYO on his podcast Indiepreneurs.
I highly recommend listening to this incredibly inspiring conversation, whether through the video below or in podcast format:
🎬 Shooting at Figma
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a video shoot at the Figma France offices in Paris.
This video is still a closely guarded secret, but one revelation? A duo with Romain Dao from The Cacatoès Theory.
What do you think we're going to talk about? 👀
See you in a few weeks to find out! Stay tuned!
💌 Thank you
